PIMES Corporation was established in 1993 as a joint venture between IMES and IBM Japan. Its founders were former IBM executives who shared the passion and vision of bringing technological breakthrough in the world of electronics and engineering services.

Starting with only less than 100 employees, the company started producing CD-ROMs. By combining Japanese technology and Filipino ingenuity, the company started to mass-produce products for IBM starting with passbook printers, then later on to TFT-LCD modules.

Its newest business line, the Automation Equipment, is quickly gaining reputation as a designer and provider of reliable equipment for HDD and Semiconductor companies.
